On June 6, 2011, the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) launched its “Competitiveness Agenda” at a Stryker Corp. medical device facility in Kalamazoo, MI. AdvaMed’s Competitiveness Agenda is a comprehensive set of policy recommendations designed to help the US medical technology industry maintain its global leadership in the development of new medical devices and diagnostics. The June 6 event featured Stryker Chairman, President and CEO Steve MacMillan, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI).
